From
the Los Padres Forest Boundary to Selby Camp in the Carrizo Plains
National Monument. This section of trail cross Bureau of Land
Management land and the Chimeneas Ecological Preserve run by California
Department of Fish and Game. There is no camping in the Chimeneas
Preserve. There is a campground at Shelby with Water and four horse
pens. There is no assured water between Poison Spring (not poisonous)
and Selby Camp
