This route needs right of way permission in several areas, or new trail construction
The connector trail from Gifford Trailhead is included on this map. I recommend the lefthand trail from Gifford Ranch to the trail, it is a little less steep than the other. There is a trough with water at Gifford Ranch.
There is ample water at Gillam Spring, either from the spring, or from the trough.
There is also ample water at a spring in a small cave at the forest boundary.
